Work Completed - Last Blog Post

The project is now completed.

This is the last blog update that will be provided for this project.

We appreciate you taking the time to read this blog.

A.Lamp completed sod restoration, manhole repairs, and miscellaneous other work in the parkway last week.

The project is nearly complete. The only remaining items are minors repairs.

A.Lamp started grading and installing topsoil in preparation for installing sod this week.

Next week the contractor will perform manhole repairs in the parkways and perform other miscellaneous repairs. 

Next week the contractor is also scheduled to begin installing sod on Wednesday.

This week A. Lamp contractor completed the underground utility spot repairs.

Manhole repairs in the parkway will be completed in conjunction with the sod restoration work during the Fall.

The roadway pavement removal is scheduled for this Tuesday. Residents will be notified prior to this work beginning. This work is part of the Village’s 2012 Resurfacing Project.

A.Lamp completed the sidewalk removal and replacements this week.

Next week, the contractor anticipates completing the underground utility spot repairs.

Manhole repairs in the parkway will be completed in conjunction with the sod restoration work during the fall.

The road resurfacing is may begin later next week. Residents will be notified prior to this work beginning.

Sewer televising and cleaning crews also been on-site, this work is in conjunction with a sewer lining project within the Village.

The contractor installed the temporary pavement patch along the north side of the roadway and street crossings.

The contractor completed concrete curb & gutter, driveways, and sidewalks on the south side of the roadway this week. Access to driveways is expected to be restored on Saturday, June 2nd. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

The contractor anticipates asphalt patching the aggregate trenches along Joanne Drive. Driveway access to residents on the north side of the roadway will be limited during excavation and paving operations.  If you reside on the north side of Joanne, please have cars removed from your driveways by Monday, June 4th at 7:00 AM.  Access to your driveway will be restored later in the day Monday.  Driveways on the south side of the street will not be affected.

The contractor completed curb & gutter, driveways and sidewalk on the north side of the roadway this week.  Access to driveways is expected to be restored on Saturday, May 26th.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

The contractor will begin concrete curb & gutter, driveways, and sidewalk on the south side of the roadway on Tuesday following Memorial Day.  If you live on the south side of Joanne, please have your car out of the driveway by 7:00 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Concrete work will begin next week.

A.Lamp Concrete Contractors completed all underground water main and water services. All homes are now connected to the new water main. No additional water shut downs are anticipated.  Thank you for your patience during the water shut downs last week.

The contractor will begin concrete curb & gutter, driveways, and sidewalks on the north side of the roadway this week starting Monday.  If you live on the north side of Joanne, please have your car out of the driveway by 7:00 AM Monday, May 21st.

Concrete curb & gutter, driveways, and sidewalks on the south side of the roadway will be installed after the Memorial Day weekend.

A.Lamp Concrete Contractors began work this week on water services on Joanne Drive.  The crew was able to install water services on the north and south side of Joanne Drive this week.  The contractor is scheduled to continue on sanitary sewer and storm sewer repairs next week.

Last week A. Lamp Concrete Construction pressure tested and chlorinated the new water main on Joanne Drive.  Additionally, A. Lamp began storm sewer and sanitary sewer repairs in various locations on Joanne Drive.  This week A. Lamp is scheduled to begin water service installation on the north side of Joanne Drive and later in the week they will begin water service installation on the south side of Joanne Drive.  During the water service installation the contractor will be required to transfer the individual water services for each home from the old main to the new main.  The morning of the water service work, the contractor will knock on your door to notify you of the pending water shutoff and give you ample time to use your water.  The shutoff will last for 1 to 2 hours on average.  Once installed, they will ask you to flush your system, and if no one is home, they will use an outside hose bib connection to flush the new service.  If you have discolored water, please open your faucets and flush out the lines and water should clear up.

A. Lamp Concrete Contractors continued water main installation on Joanne Drive this week from Pfingsten Road to the cul-de-sac at the west end of Joanne Drive.  The contractor is scheduled to test and chlorinate the water main early next week.  Additionally, the contractor is scheduled to begin existing storm sewer and sanitary sewer repairs.

CONSTRUCTION HAS BEGUN

Late this week A.Lamp Concrete Contractors began construction on Joanne Drive.  The contractor began work on Wednesday by grinding out the existing pavement over the proposed water main trench.  Thursday they began installing water main  at the intersection of Joanne Drive and Pfingsten Road.  The contractor is scheduled to continue installation of water main towards the west next week.
